Post and Bites

The new Post and Bites exhibition tells the story of the communicating Finn and Finnish postal services.

Post and Bites invites visitors to explore one of the most familiar yet rapidly evolving aspects of daily life — communication. The exhibition looks at the many ways people have connected with one another, tracing technological leaps and social changes over the decades.

The story of Posti, Finland’s postal service, is interwoven with the development of Finnish society. The exhibition offers thematic insights into Posti’s history as part of everyday life in a constantly changing communications landscape.

Combining history, technology, and emotion, Post and Bites is both interactive and playful, offering visitors a multisensory experience. The extensive exhibition will occupy the entire first floor of the Postal Museum.

A joint production between the Postal Museum and Tampere Historical Museums (Vapriikki), Post and Bites brings together the rich communication-related collections and expertise of both institutions.
