Welcome to Vapriikki

Located on the banks of Tammerkoski rapids, the Museum Centre Vapriikki offers over ten exhibitions with a single ticket.

Opening Hours

Open Tue-Sun from 10 am to 6 pm
In May and July open Mon-Sun 10 am-6 pm

Exceptions to Opening Hours:

Closed at 4 pm:
Apr 30th, Jun 20th.

Closed:
June 21st-23rd

Open exceptionally:
Wednesday May 1st 12pm-4pm (The Power of the Stone only).
Saturday May 4th 10am–12pm.

Ticket sales and restaurant cashier close half an hour before the museum closes. Museum restaurant Valssi is open on Mondays for lunch from 10:45 am to 2 pm, in addition to regular museum hours.

Adults 15 €

Children and students 7 €
Children (7-17 years old), students, conscripts, and civilian servicemen

Family ticket 34 €
2 adults and 1-4 children under 18 years old.

Pensioners, unemployed, and groups 10 €/person
Groups of over ten people are requested to notify their arrival in advance.

Free of charge

Free admission for children under 7 years old and our war veterans.

Tampere school groups throughout the year. Pirkanmaa school groups in January-April and August-December.

Teachers and school assistants accompanying school and daycare groups.

Disability assistants.

Free admission to Vapriikki museum center on Fridays from 3 pm to 6 pm.
Note: Does not apply to the Manserock exhibition and The Power of the Stone exhibition.

Junior Card

Price: 30 €

With a Junior Card, you can explore Vapriikki, the Postal Museum, Tampere Art Museum, Sara Hildén Art Museum, Moomin Museum, Amuri Museum of Workers’ Housing, and Museo Milavida free of charge for one year. Additionally, Junior Cardholders receive 2 Museum Night event wristbands.

The card is intended for under 18 years olds.

Payment methods

We accept the Museum Card!

Price: 79 €, renewal 73 €.

Admission tickets and purchases with the Museum Card can be paid in cash and by debit card. We also accept cultural vouchers and payment cards: Smartum, Edenred, Tyky. Additionally, the SmartumPay and ePassi mobile applications are accepted. You can also use the Kaikukortti here.

It’s about a 10-minute walk from both the railway station and the bus station to Vapriikki.

By bike:
You can easily reach Vapriikki by bicycle. Check out the city’s cycling routes here or plan your trip using a route planner. There are bike racks in front of Vapriikki.

By bus:
You can conveniently reach Vapriikki using the local public transport (Nysse). The nearest bus stops are:
