Gaming Friday

Themed Friday gaming sessions introduce relevant and quality video games connected to Spain, either created there or highlighting its culture and history.

The event includes a short introduction to the exhibition and gameplay. Our museum trainee will provide additional information and guidance in English and Spanish. Don’t miss this opportunity to visit Suomen Pelimuseo and enjoy playing indie video games offering alternative approaches and aesthetics. Entry to Vapriikki’s permanent exhibitions is free every Friday from 3–6 pm. Everyone is welcome!

In the first themed Friday 19.9. we will discover the Spanish narrative video game Lola Vendetta at the University of Life (Cubus Games & Raquel Riba Rossy, 2025). This narrative video game explores the university years of the Spanish popular comic character, an icon of the feminist movement.  Join Lola at a pivotal moment in her life, help her make decisions, experience the feminist movement revolution, and share a rollercoaster of emotions by her side.

Created by a team that combines art, technology and social commitment, the game demonstrates how video games can be more than entertainment, they can also be powerful vehicles for expression and reflection.

You can play the game at the museum or bring your own phone or tablet. (Own earbuds/headphones recommended.) It is available free of charge in the App Store and Google Play (with optional donations). Age rating: PEGI 12

Suomen Pelimuseossa pelataan espanjalaisia pelejä syys-lokakuussa! Tapahtuma sisältää Pelimuseon harjoittelijan lyhyen esittelyn englanniksi tai espanjaksi sekä pelaamista. Vapaa pääsy Vapriikin perusnäyttelyihin perjantaisin klo 15-18, tervetuloa!

Ensimmäisessä peliperjantaissa tutustutaan espanjalaiseen Lola Vendetta at the University of Life -peliin. (Cubus Games & Raquel Riba Rossy, 2025). Peli perustuu feministisen liikkeen ikoniksi nousseeseen sarjakuvahahmoon Lola Vendettaan ja sijoittuu hänen opiskeluvuosiinsa. Pelaajat pääsevät mukaan elämän käännekohtiin, auttamaan Lolan päätöksissä, sukeltamaan feministisen liikkeen vallankumoukseen sekä kokemaan tunteiden vuoristoradan hänen rinnallaan.
